3 comprehensive safety protocols
Our project, TRACER, was designed with safety as a fundamental principle. All genetic constructs were built using non-pathogenic E. coli strains (XL1-Blue, DH5α) and mammalian HEK293T cells, both of which are well-established model systems. None of the plasmids contain genes encoding toxins, virulence factors, or antibiotic resistance markers beyond the standard laboratory selection markers (ampicillin). The engineered constructs are designed solely for controlled experimental assays and pose no environmental or health hazards outside the laboratory.
