He has industry experience in the nuclear sector, and wants to pursure clean energy solutions that stem from bioprocessed precursors. Claire is a fourth year Biochemistry and Toxicology major. She's interested in the intersection of synthetic biology and pharmacology, and leveraging biological processes in pharmaceutical research. In her free time, she enjoys reading and baking.
Patricia Rea

Patricia is a third year undergraduate student doing a Biological Chemistry Specialist, Biochemistry Major, and Science, Technology and Society Minor at the University of Toronto. She is very passionate about protein design for non-medical applications, and works on antifreeze proteins and photoswitchable protein systems outside of iGEM. In her spare time she watches bad movies and thinks about proteins.

Kaitlyn is a third year student specializing in genetics and biotechnology at the University of Toronto. She is passionate about exploring gene therapy solutions for neurodegenerative diseases, and, outside the lab, she likes to work as a responder for volunteer EMS organizations. She enjoys cooking, baking, hiking, and learning new languages, and actively participates in sports like kickboxing, MMA, hockey, and snowboarding. Her interests also include cinematography and music, and in her free time likes to play the piano, violin and guitar.

Jonas is a Master's student supervised by Dr. Karim Mekhail at UofT. His research focuses on DNA repair, cellular aging, and nuclear architecture. As wet-lab lead of the McGill iGEM team, Jonas won the iGEM grand prize in 2023 with their project Proteus. In his free time, he loves to cook and play piano.

Pramal finished his PhD in the Maxwell lab at University of Toronto and is currently doing his post-doctorate. He is very interested in phage biology and engineering and combinig these two to multi-drug resistant infections. Outside the lab, he loves to travel and watch TV shows.
