What is iXpose ?

A breakthrough diagnostic tool, powered by the innovative TIGR-Tas system, designed to detect DNA from any tick-borne pathogen accurately and cost-effectively

But why do we need it?

The tick Ixodes ricinus, once active only seasonally, has become a year-round threat in temperate regions as its range and activity expand due to climate change

The magnitude of the threat has already been exposed in Northern Europe

However, in Lithuania, the complete picture is still unclear

    ?

Without comprehensive data, the public and the healthcare system are left in the dark about the true risks associated with a single tick bite — a gap we aim to close

Enabling Field-Ready Diagnostics

We integrated these foundational technologies to develop a rapid, precise, and field-deployable detection tool using

Novel RNA-guided DNA-targeting TIGR-Tas system, which is PAM independent

Specific protein labeling using the connectase enzyme

Lateral flow assay and Isothermal DNA amplification

Our Mission

Our mission is to create a tool that would facilitate scientists' collection of statistics on tick-borne diseases, which would enable the planning of national public health strategies and better inform investment in diagnostics and treatment
