Tiger
Team Captain
Tiger
Hi there! I’m Lichengxi, from Shenzhen, China. I’m currently leading AIS-China 2025, which basically means I’m the person making sure our HP, Education, Entrepreneurship, Academic, Modeling, Video, Art, and Wiki teams don’t drift off into different oceans (well… at least not too far).
I joined iGEM because it felt like the perfect mix of science, creativity, and chaos—and so far, it has delivered all three. Working on HullGuard with my teammates has been an oddly fun journey, especially when we dive into discussions about how to stop barnacles from attaching to ships. (Trust me, it’s more exciting than it sounds.)
Outside of iGEM, I’m a big fan of hiking, photography, and trying to cook dishes that look nothing like the pictures in the recipe books. If you see me around, feel free to say hi—I promise I don’t bite (unless you’re a barnacle).
Jaycee
Academic Leader
Jaycee
Hiii, this is Jaycee from Shenzhen, China. I’m currently an 12th-grade student at AISSU. I’m part of AIS-China and act as a leader within the academic team of our iGEM project, where I contribute to exploring and developing applications of Zosteric Acid. I help streamline our experimental workflow by planning experiments, reviewing the literature, and so on. I also contribute to educational, artistic, and wiki efforts. I particularly enjoy hands-on lab work, where I turn ideas into tangible results and find solutions to unexpected challenges.
Outside the lab, I’ve been passionate about Chinese dance since childhood and enjoy listening to music, which helps me stay creative and balanced. I also like exploring new interests and challenging myself. These experiences shape how I approach both life and research: with curiosity, perseverance, and a willingness to keep learning.
