LIU Haolin
Technical & Software Lead, Wiki Design Director, and Chief Developer
As the team's technical lead and a continuing member from last year, I am responsible for designing and implementing the wiki, as well as assisting with software development. I also assist other team members with technical issues, deliverables, iGEM-specific requirements, managing the GitLab repository and general development. You could think of me as a lead developer. While the final product is less than ideal, it is the best that could be achieved. Finally, I would like to mention my experience of leading the wiki development towards the end of the project. I found it intriguing.

As a team leader, you can see me working with every part of the team from wet lab, design, wiki, to human practices. But my main focus is on the design and wet lab with most of my time spent testing things out. When I am not working on iGEM, you can probably find me playing badminton, or in my room playing indie video games like Stardew Valley and Terraria.

Hi I’m Tim, the hardware lead and researcher on our iGEM team. I designed a photodiode-based biosensor with microcontroller data logging, calibration, and ISO-style documentation. Beyond iGEM, I lead hardware for e-NABLE, producing prosthetic devices; operate Tor middle relays to support privacy; and build my personal website (itstim.me). I’ve led Drone Lab and participated in VEX robotics teams, explored PCB design with EPFL’s Microver, and studied CubeSat systems at OSM Monaco. I enjoy mixing engineering with service to deliver accessible technology that helps people.

Hii I’m Buse, the lead researcher of the team. My main role has been designing and testing our project — which basically means living in the wet lab and troubleshooting experiments that refuse to cooperate. When I’m not working on iGEM, you’ll probably find me busy with any one of my random hobbies like: VEX Robotics, reading, playing the flute, or representing Switzerland in debate. I also love sports -snowboarding, basketball, swimming - you name it.

BOGOLYUBOV Grisha
Research, Human Practices, and Head of Moral Support
As the head of moral support, I was in charge of keeping the team working hard. I worked on human practices, education, and did some research. As a physicist, I had the unique role of pretending I understood all the biology (this involved a lot of serious nodding my head and saying 'uh-huh') when the team was presenting.

Biology has always been one of my passions; however, when I chose my IB subjects, I had to select Physics and Chemistry instead. iGEM became my way of continuing to explore biology beyond the classroom.

This was my first time doing anything regarding synthetic biology, and I can say that I learned a lot throughout the year, taking part in the competition, and I can't wait to contribute in a more beneficial manner in the coming years. I mostly contributed by researching and I also helped with education.

I am from the US and Switzerland. I'm interested in IGEM because of the diverse topics and issues that can be addressed, and I want to explore the applications of synthetic biology in fields such as space and agriculture. I'm new to synthetic biology, but I want to learn more about it by participating in iGEM and reading plenty of books, as well as doing experiments. My favorite subject is biochemistry and my favorite hobby is snowboarding.

When I'm not hammering out long essays for the wiki, or harassing people to buy cookies I enjoy sports like skiing and running. I also love to be creative and take scrapbooking a little overboard.

Over the course of this project, I have assisted with all aspects of the subject, with my primary purpose being to aid others in their respective fields. From brainstorming ideas and refining our project to designing a card game to educate others in a fun and meaningful way, I find myself content with contributing to the project in numerous ways.

As part of the IGEM team i have worked on the human practices of the team. I worked on some designs of our team logo and hoodies and i did some research on past IGEM results and 3D bioprining and Swiss problems. I will also be participating in the IGEM debate as the first speaker on wether we should continue research on extinct animals or not.
