I've been always dreaming about participating in iGEM competition, which is a rare opportunity to let me explore the synthetic biology and expand my repertoire at the same time. Collaborating with like-minded individuals from all over the world is challenging as well as electrifying. I really enjoy stepping out of my comfort zone to explore new ideas and solve real life problems.

Ms. Dongyang Zhao is the Primary Principal Investigator at Hangzhou Olive Tree International Academy and serves as the Head of the Science Department. She holds a Bachelor's in Pharmacy from Jilin University and a Master's in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from Northeast Normal University. Certified in Biology and Chemistry education, she also possesses a CIE Teacher Training Certificate. With four years of experience teaching Edexcel Biology and CIE Chemistry, Ms. Zhao has coached students to gold medals in the British Chemistry Olympiad and the Canadian Chemistry Competition, exemplifying her dedication to fostering academic excellence.
