ALVIN LI
I'm Alvin Li, it's my second year participating in iGEM. I am an avid fan of iGEM, I even once made a speech introducing iGEM to my entire grade, not noticing that my shirt buttons were open. Luckily, my tie covered up all the open buttons and I completed my speech succesfully, raising awarness of iGEM in SHSID. I am also a junior in high school planning to major in biological engineering or syntehtic biology. My reasearch projects, Mock Trial competitions, workouts at the gym, and most importanly iGEM helped my grow alot in my high school life.
CHENG YA XUAN
Hello everyone! I'm YaXuan, and I'm thrilled to be a part of SHSID's iGEM team this year. I've always loved exploring the different corners of biology, especially when classroom theories develop into innovative, real-world solutions that solve pressing issues. To me, synthetic biology feels like a bridge that offers tools to bring our ideas into fruition. From chaotic lab days to late-night wiki writings, this journey has been a wild ride. Though, I am confident that it is time for our team to leave a real mark, and hopefully get rid of some of this world's toxicity, too.

SUN KEVIN KAIYUAN
Hey, my name is Kevin Sun——you can call me K.S. for short. I’m currently 16 years old in the Class of 2027 in Shanghai High School International Division (SHSID). Genetics sparked my initial interests in biology. I am amazed by the mysterious and surprised how much we don’t know about this world. I started attending programs about genetic engineering and came across other subfields such as neuroscience. Though I’m not much of a know-it-all for now, I’m still on my way to exploring the world of unknown.

I'm excited to contribute to our project and to continue learning throughout this journey.
LI MANDI
Hii! I'm Mandi, a wet lab member from Crouton. I'm from Utah, USA, and I joined iGEM to learn more about an environmental science/biophysics research topic, as I want to broaden my experiences as a biochem student. I am interested specifically in pharmacology, which is pretty biochem, but I also love nature and enjoyed our environmental science project very much. Outside of the academic stuff, I like to run and decorate my room. A fun fact of me is how I can switch between a monolid and a double eye lid.

I am Jack, currently in my junior year in SHSID. I am interested in general biology and neuroscience, and I am currently leading a club within my school. I aspire to study neuroscience and one day "fix" humans like fixing machines
KIM SEWOONG
Hi everyone, my name is Sam. I'm from South Korea, and I am a rising senior at Shanghai High School International Division. I have a strong interest in biology and chemistry, which I have developed since middle school. Through the iGEM competition, I entered the realm of bioengineering, where we would select genes that we wanted and let those genes to merge with the linear plasmid that was cut under hot temperature. This also became one of the occasions that have strengthened my passion for biology, and I will continue exploring the beauty of biology in the future.
