Medical Innovations

UseCase 01

Medical Innovations

Drug Development & Protein Research

The development of new drugs is a ray of hope for patients and has always been of great importance. Protein research also plays an important role in the development of new drugs.

Agricultural Advances

UseCase 02

Agricultural Advances

Food Security & Crop Improvement

Increasing crop yields is important in modern agriculture, where food shortages are a concern. Proteins related to photosynthetic efficiency and resistance to pests and diseases play a major role in food production challenges. Research into these proteins is expected to help solve food problems.

Sustainable Industry

UseCase 03

Sustainable Industry

Efficient & Eco-friendly Production

In industry, environmentally friendly development and efficient production have always been important issues. By utilizing various enzymes, efficient production with less chemical pollution has become possible. Research on such proteins increases the possibility of achieving both reduced environmental impact and mass production.

The Problem

Protein engineering is challenging.

Parameter A
Parameter B

Proteins, which have a wide range of applications in fields such as medicine and agriculture, are an important research subject, and many researchers are working to improve their functions. When improving proteins, there is a need to improve multiple functions in order to broaden their range of applications. Furthermore, it is also expected to increase yields and other factors in existing protein fields. Functions that require improvement include enzymatic activity, thermal stability, pH resistance, substrate specificity, and solubility. For example, if an enzyme with high thermal stability and improved enzymatic activity is obtained, it can be used under high temperature conditions, making it possible to catalyze the desired reaction more quickly than before. However, it is known to be difficult to simultaneously improve protein functions. Methods such as "directed evolution" and "rational design" are used to improve proteins, but due to time and financial constraints and the need for high levels of expertise, these methods are not easily adoptable by everyone.
