Safety in the Laboratory

  • Before getting into the lab, all lab participants were trained 2hours of biosafety training regarding general lab safety rules and LMO codes by biosafety training materials from KosaBio Inc including:
  1. Biohazard Signs and Labels
  2. Research Facility Access Procedures
  3. Procedures for Donning and Doffing Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
  4. How to Use a Biological Safety Cabinet (BSC)
  5. How to Use an Autoclave
  6. Procedures for Using Shared Equipment
  7. Waste Disposal Procedures
  8. Biosafety Incident Recognition and Response Procedures
  9. Other Biosafety-Related Matters
  • Certificates who attend the training were issued by KosaBio Inc R&D center.

  • Our secondary PI was trained “2025 LMO Initial Training for Researchers (Biosafety Levels 1 & 2)” by National Research Safety Headquarters, Korea Research Institute of Bioscience and Biotechnology (KRIBB)
