Hello everyone, I’m Zhao Yumo, an eleventh-grade student from Xiamen No.1 High School of Fujian. Throughout my academic journey, I’ve developed a deep passion for biology. I am fascinated by the complexity of DNA’s double helix and the pivotal role that these tiny particles play in the grand scheme of life. The world of biology is full of mysteries, but the science behind it is what truly captivates me. I am excited to be a part of the iGEM project, where I can apply and expand my knowledge in synthetic biology. Looking ahead, I plan to major in biology at university. Hello everyone, I'm Qunpu Meng. I'm a grade11 student from Beijing National Day School. When I was a child running around the hospital hoping to treat my atopic dermatitis, I knew my interest in the synthetic biology represented by immune preparations In addition to studying biology competitions, I participated in IGEM to learn about biology and personally participate, accumulating experience for myself and being exposed to commonly used techniques and equipment on the front line, hoping to lay a foundation for future research. In the competition, I took the experiment seriously, worked closely with the team, and ultimately completed the experiment. I hope we can achieve good results.

Hello everyone，I am Dong Lingyi from The Attached Middle School of Jiangxi Normal University.I have participated in UKChO.Joining iGEM is a dream opportunity for me to explore how chemical principles govern biological systems at the molecular level, while gaining hands-on experience in solving real-world problems through synthetic biology. My fascination began when I learned how enzymes act as nature's catalysts, precisely controlling biochemical reactions through their unique 3D structures. This discovery made me realize that life itself is an elegant dance of chemistry within cells. For example, studying the Krebs cycle not only taught me metabolic pathways, but also revealed how energy conversion relies on redox reactions – a perfect synergy of biology and chemistry that I want to investigate deeper. What excites me most about iGEM is the chance to bridge theory with practice. As I fly through my school journey, I found that I'm a student with a profound and insatiable curiosity for the world of science and technology, which has led me to develop a deep - seated passion for three fascinating fields: chemistry, biology, and computer science. In high school, I participated in the United States Biology Olympiad competition and participated in the biology project, the research direction of which is neurons. Since joining IGEM, this scientific research experience has not only enabled me to master molecular biological experiment skills. Hello, everyone! I am Hu Yatong, currently a Grade 10 student in Shanghai experimental foreign language school.I am very honored to be a member of the iGEM team this year. As a wet team member, my main responsibility is to participate in experimental design, molecular cloning, gene editing, protein expression and purification. I am passionate about synthetic biology, especially how to solve biological problems using engineered ideas. In the past few months, I have accumulated experimental experience in PCR, gel electrophoresis, plasmid construction and so on. I am confident that by working together as a team, we will be able to turn our ideas into reality and ultimately demonstrate our innovative results in the competition. In addition to my experimental skills, I also attach great importance to teamwork and interdisciplinary communication. Hi, everyone! My name is Clara. I am a student from Shanghai Qingpu World Foreign Language High School. I've always had a deep passion for biology, especially in areas like cell biology. Although I lack biological abilities, I spend a lot of time reading related books and scientific papers to expand my knowledge and deepen my understanding of the subject. Hi guys I'm Tom. I'm a student from SDSZ international department. I've had a deep passion in studying biology and psychology from the very day in which I first engaged in these two subjects. In extension, I am particularly excited about igem's exploration of current applications in biochemistry and bioengineering. These areas are directly relevant to my research interests and the gaps I identified during my literature review, where I found a lack of the most cutting-edge knowledge and hands-on experience. Qicheng Feng

Hey, l'm Atreus, a grade 10 student with a love for biology, muscles, and molecules. While most people are busy avoiding bugs, l've been spending time breaking down their shells - literally. I work on chitinase enzymes in the O-CHITINASE team, exploring how we can turn shrimp and crab waste into something useful. It's not exactly physical therapy, but it's still helping things break down and rebuild - just on a much smaller scale. I'm excited to grow alongside my team (and maybe help some cells grow too) as we push science forward this year.

Hi! My name's Darcy, a sophomore student currently studying in Shenzhen College of International Education. Introverted, I've always been thrown to an enclosure of phobia when socializing with others, especially in front of the public. Thus, I always talk into myself to initiatively stand out from the comfort zone and grab the opportunities which I can steel myself. Also, I can find myself fitting in all features of perfectionism since I always pursue accomplishing my business without any flaw, which sometimes can be a merit but sometimes bothers me, because it causes procrastination of mine from time to time. I've particularly got the obsession with equestrianism and playing chess, which equip me with the skills of patience, social networking and organization, paving a solid foundation for my future development. Initially, I regarded Human & Social Sciences and Business as my primary decisions in major choices. However, considering the variation of market demands and job opportunities with the propensity, I eventually decided to major in Business and Finance, which is the incentive propelling me to explore more about the relevant fields in iGEM competition via participating an assortment of activities that bring theoretical knowledge in practice. As far as my academic pursuits, I am very much interested in studying business, particularly economics and marketing. Hi everyone! I'm Yang Shuangrui, a biotech student working on Parkinson's treatment with my iGEM team. My fascination with biology started in childhood—raising silkworms in shoeboxes and wondering how tiny organisms solve big problems. That curiosity deepened during COVID, when I volunteered at a community clinic and saw firsthand how Parkinson's tremors affect daily life—like an elderly patient struggling to hold a water cup. It showed me that this isn't just about science; it's about dignity. In the lab, our team collaborates on engineering E. coli to target α-synuclein pathways. We spend days optimizing plasmids and troubleshooting together—last week, we fine-tuned a promoter sequence by cross-checking data across three different strains. Visiting neurology wards taught us why we do this: a patient shared how her tremors made family dinners difficult. Now, every experiment feels personal—we're not just manipulating bacteria; we're building tools for real people. iGEM bridges textbooks and humanity for me. Synthetic biology here isn't abstract; it's a way to turn struggles into solutions. I'm excited to share ideas at Jamboree because solving Parkinson's needs teamwork—across labs, disciplines, and stories.
