Hi! I'm Vicky Shiqi Zhang, currently devoting myself to language learning. Since I was a child, I have always been deeply interested in biology, medicine and psychology. I am particularly fascinated by the IHP content of iGEM, which is why I joined the dry lab team. Since participating in iGEM, through intensive offline activities and various data analysis tasks, I have once again had the opportunity to delve deeply into this fascinating field of biology and explore the integration of biology with society across multiple disciplines. I hope our project can make contributions to society that only biology can offer. I am extremely grateful to all my teammates who have supported me, and I am once again thankful to iGEM for providing us with this invaluable opportunity to turn our ideas into reality. Love you all!

Hi, I'm Clair, now attending a school in Virginia, US. My hobbies are playing volleyball, tennis, badminton and softball. For academic aspect, I hope i can major in Sports management and Sport and Exercise Rehabilitation when i go to university. I'm interested in how to make a product influencial and help people. IGEM is my first competition and i think it's a great beginning for me, I learned how to create a business proposal, how to concentrate for a long period of time, and communication. I hope i will be able to do more competitions like IGEM in the future.

Hihi! I'm Rowena Hu from Qingdao No.2 High School. My friends call me a 'creative explorer'—I'm obsessed with art, books, electric guitar (yes, I can rock some riffs!), photography, and wandering new places. But beneath all that, biology steals my heart! iGEM became my gateway to synthetic biology—where I finally got to dirty my hands in the lab, turn wild ideas into real experiments, and see a project through from design to (hopefully) cool results. Now I'm hooked! I dream of diving deeper into biochem, molecular bioengineering, or biomedicine in college. Super thrilled to be part of this team—let's make some science chaos together and (fingers crossed) something awesome!

ZHANG MINGCHENG

Hi, I'm Mingcheng Zhang, a high school student from Beijing Normal University High School. Since childhood, I've had a keen interest in biology, though it was initially confined to the macroscopic level: what insects look like, how plants grow. As my studies progressed, my understanding of biology briefly touched upon the microscopic level. Entering high school, I participated in the British Biology Olympiad (BBO), further learning about biology's applications across various societal aspects. I also participated in laboratory-based learning about organoids. These experiences deepened my interest in biology, strengthened my resolve for in-depth biological study, and solidified my belief that biology offers a unique perspective for understanding the world, linking macroscopic phenomena with complex molecular mechanisms. During my iGEM experiment, I immersed myself in experimental exploration, from the challenges of DNA extraction to the excitement of successful protein function verification. I am honored to join the iGEM family and hope to ignite more innovative sparks here through collaboration.
