The Team
Adrien
Adrien is the official thesis student of the project: king of the lab, we are his humble subjects. He has dedicated ALL his time to SyntcoLAB research since January (lucky guy!). When he’s not spending our funds on reagents, he proudly represents the project as our official Instagram model (what style).
Amélie
Even though she had no background in coding, Amélie learned using the tools available today (our best teammate, ChatGPT) and wholeheartedly took on the task of coding our wiki. She was also responsible for making sure we comply with the (very) numerous iGEM rules. Without her, SyntCoLAB would have sunk before even starting.
Esteban
Esteban is the general manager; he makes sure everyone does their job. The only student in a master’s program in environmental biology, his thesis has trained him in butterfly hunting — no trouble tracking us down if we miss a meeting. His favorite pastime: two-hour meetings and calls. Lovely!
Nicolas
Nicolas is part of the research team. With Tanguy, he prepares the experiments needed for our project and organizes our “summer vacations” dedicated to lab work. How kind of him… we just can’t wait!
Camille
Camille manages our YouTube channel and wet lab. Since science doesn’t always have the best reputation in high schools, she takes on the challenge of making our interventions as fun as possible. Good luck to her!
Pierre
Pierre is the founder of the project and of our team — the brain behind our ambitions. He personally made sure to recruit every member so that our goals had the best chance to succeed. Just as demanding with himself as with others, you can feel honored (and a little terrified) if he gives you work to do.
Tanguy
Tanguy is part of the research team. Together with Nicolas, he digs through dusty books and corners of the Internet to make sure nothing is missed about our topic. He’s also the team’s most efficient handyman.
Cassandre
Cassandre is our graphic designer. Her goal: make the project shine both inside and out. Quite a challenge… after all, we’re talking about bacteria — not always the sexiest!
