iGEM lets me work on interdisciplinary research while studying, gaining insights into synthetic biology and creative problem-solving. I’m excited to collaborate with a motivated team and build valuable skills.

I'm excited about the opportunity to collaboratively develop a project that combines creativity and scientific innovation, while making a meaningful impact. iGEM offers the perfect environment to grow beyond academic boundaries and contribute to something bigger together with a motivated team.

What excites me about iGEM is the chance to work on a project I’m passionate about within a dedicated student team, learning important skills and growing together beyond the lab and university routine. I look forward to embracing challenges, gaining valuable experience, and forming lasting friendships.

What fascinates me about iGEM are all the little building blocks that make up the competition. Building our project independently as a team, and doing so at a high international level, is very fulfilling. The thought of making friends and contacts for life makes me happy.

I am looking forward to being part of the new team and developing a great project while expanding my skills and knowledge in the field of synthetic biology.

My motivation for participating in iGEM is that I enjoy working with other people. I am also interested in synthetic biology and, in particular, its possibilities.

What I appreciate most is the opportunity iGEM gives me to grow personally and professionally. Above all, the chance to apply my theoretical knowledge to real-world problems is unique, as I can work with very ambitious, determined people toward a common goal that we are all passionate about.

I am participating in iGEM 2025 because I have a keen interest in science in general and would like to apply the knowledge I have acquired at university in a practical setting. I am also excited about the opportunity to establish new contacts.

For me, iGEM means becoming scientifically creative myself. Creativity has always been my driving force, including in photography and planning travel itineraries.

I love working in an interdisciplinary team, and I’m definitely not looking to live in the lab—so iGEM is perfect: I can focus on the 3Lab, get things done efficiently, and feel good about myself.

What I particularly appreciate about iGEM is the enthusiasm of everyone involved in the field of synthetic biology. So many creative minds come together to work independently on completely new ideas and innovative projects. This is my second year participating, and I am looking forward to learning so much more.

iGEM promotes creativity, self-determination, personal growth, teamwork, and self-confidence, while also offering insight into the world of research... and I love that!

Returning to iGEM as an instructor this year, I had the chance to guide the iGEM Münster 2025 team in developing Bactolyze, from shaping project ideas to discussing wet lab results and supporting wiki design and visualization. For me, iGEM remains a place to learn, grow, and, most importantly, to meet inspiring people and wonderful friends.
