Overview

It is a great leap for a language model to go from initial establishment to its first successful run. However, there is still a long way to go from a preliminary version to a digital protein evolution model that can make irreplaceable contributions to scientific research, which requires continuous optimization and improvement. Although our original intention in creating the language model was to make laboratory work more focused and reduce tedious trial-and-error, the establishment of the language model itself requires constant feedback from experiments. We need to carry out rounds of optimization and debugging through experiments.

After the model's first successful run, we proceeded to the first experimental verification. Based on the natural protein and the evolutionary direction, we designed a comparative experiment. We synthesized the gene of the protein, used bacteria to produce the protein, and characterized the protein's function to verify the success of the model's optimization.

Team Introduction

We come from different majors, but we are all pursuing bachelor's degrees in biotechnology and hope to engage in scientific research in the life sciences field in the future. Our experiment is the primary standard for testing the model, providing data feedback for the model's optimization and adjustment. We are the evaluation committee for PROTEUS.
