Yooo. I got into iGEM as a freshman, eager to start researching anything, but I’m
glad that iGEM specifically was my introduction
to research. My actual role consisted of understanding microplastic interactions
with our digestive system, outlining high-level
solutions, and designing our vectors. This cycle, I've learned so much about
problem-driven ideation, engineering/design thinking,
practical teamwork/ communication, and working under time pressures. I want to found
my own MedTech startup, and I’m confident that
these lessons will translate to that endeavor! Anyway, I hope you enjoyed this, and
I'm excited to hear about your iGEM experience!
