TON YEN HOSPITAL
- Ton Yen Hospital has long been a leader in clinical research, innovative healthcare, and public health initiatives, and we deeply admire their work. On June 30, we conducted interviews with Dr. 謝宗鑫 (Pulmonary Medicine), Dr. 張天豪 (Infectious Diseases), and Chief Medical Technologist 陳怡妙 to gain insight into clinical and laboratory perspectives on antimicrobial resistance (AMR). To further raise awareness, we also set up a booth at the hospital on August 7 to carry out public outreach and fundraising. At the booth, we showcased our research, shared knowledge about AMR with the public, and raised funds to support ongoing experiments and educational efforts. The event was completed and received positive feedback.
National Cheng Kung University
- Interview on 07/17 with:
- Professor Hung
- On July 17, we conducted an online interview with Professor Hung, whose research closely aligns with our focus on antimicrobial resistance. Our goal is to design a promising adjunctive therapeutic strategy that can serve as a foundation for future clinical applications in combating superbugs. This exchange with Professor Hung has helped us explore potential research directions and collaborative opportunities.
National Taiwan University HospitaL
- Interview on 07/22 with:
- 傅傳修
- On July 22, an online interview was conducted with Dr. Fu, a neurology specialist from NTUH. During the interview, he provided us with clear feedback regarding our outlines for future outreach activities, as some of the original plans weren’t as thought through and detailed. His valuable intel and experiences served as a key factor for many of our outreach plans.

National Yang Ming CHiao Tung University
- 07/01 ~ 08/06
- During the summer, our team had the invaluable opportunity to collaborate closely with students from National Yang Ming Chiao Tung (NYCU), who played a pivotal role in shaping our research and skills development. They generously offered us access to their laboratory space. Beyond providing facilities, the NYCU students guided our wet lab through key laboratory and experiment techniques, such as gene sequencing, and helped us design our experiment flow. This ensured that each step was practical and scientifically sound. They mentored us through essential lab procedures, provided mandatory safety training, and advised us on proper documentation practices for our lab notebook to maintain high-quality records. In addition, we would organise weekly in-person meetings with Professor Chen, where we reviewed our progress, received feedback, and refined our experiment plans. This collaboration extended beyond the lab as well; NYCU students joined us in some of our outreach activities, such as the educational outreach to STAR Academy. Moreover, we also co-developed and recorded a podcast to discuss how their mentorship and partnership not only enhanced the quality of our research but also strengthened our capacity to connect with science and public engagement.
