Sponsors

Through the different outreach activities the HIA iGEM human practice team has conducted, we gained a total of 7 sponsors. Each of them contributed in different ways: monetary, advisory, and equipment supplements are all crucial factors to our project and experiments, and we are beyond appreciative.

TON YEN HOSPITAL

Supported us with donations

Ton‑Yen General Hospital (東元綜合醫院) is the main regional teaching hospital in Hsinchu County, serving over 600,000 residents and health workers in the Science Park. As a large hospital offering both preventive medicine (health screening, infection control) and curative services, Ton‑Yen is in a key position to witness and manage problems caused by antimicrobial resistance (AMR). Because our team’s project is focused on combating AMR by neutralizing beta‑lactamase and restoring antibiotic effectiveness, partnership with Ton‑Yen could allow us to access real‑world clinical insights, test community awareness, or collaborate in educational outreach. This alignment means Ton‑Yen’s support could greatly increase both the scientific validity and public health impact of your work. PlasMission has collaborated with Ton Yen Hospital multiple times, they have been one of the main sponsors of our team. They have been the one that supported us from the very beginning with interviews and visits with professional doctors in the fields; not only that, they were the ones to lend us the public space of the hospital for us to conduct our active outreach activity with the community. Allowing us to interact with the people there.
