Through standardized agar diffusion assays, the research team conducted comprehensive testing of bacterial models: establishing negative (ddH2O) and positive (gentamicin) control groups for strains isolated from murals (1-1, 4-1, 5-1, 6-1, 7-1, 8-1); measuring inhibition zones of recombinant antimicrobial peptides produced by strains LP3, LP11, and engineered laboratory bacteria against mural-associated pathogens. Additionally, he extracted antimicrobial peptides secreted by these strains (including PnAm1 protein and Jiangshui protein) and validated their antibacterial activity. In order to study the antifungal inhibitory ability of antimicrobial peptides, he assisted in carrying out the negative (ddH2O)/positive (amphotericin) control experiments on the mural isolated fungal species 3, 4 and 5, and participated in the experimental verification of the antifungal effect of the antimicrobial peptide expression strain constructed by the team.
