The invention of plastic has

brought us great convenience.

Nowadays, it is everywhere.

Every bite. Every drink...

Over the past few decades, plastic has been constantly breaking down into “microplastics”,which are ingested by living organisms.

There are 325

microplastic particles in every liter of bottled water we drink.

It is shown that plastic pollution has caused about 230 million people to experience gastrointestinal symptoms such as bloating & diarrhea.

Fortunately, we modified the chassis bacteria and named it

"EnteroPlastivore"

It will be encapsulated in a capsule to facilitate

its entry into the body.

Once you swallow the capsule,

we will navigate through the tumultuous waves of the

digestive system,

and an exciting adventure will begin!

That's what we're all about.
Eat all the plastic particles that shouldn't be there
and give you a clean, healthy intestinal environment

Project Profile
gif1
Our chassis bacteria will deliver HFBI for surface display through the Aga system.
HFBI will assist the chassis bacteria in adsorbing microplastics through hydrophobic forces.
gif2
Lactobacillus plantarum DT88 can specifically bind to Saccharomyces cerevisiae and form a biofilm structure, thereby achieving colonization in the intestinal tract. Given that Lactobacillus plantarum DT88 has the ability to adsorb microplastics itself, this dual-bacteria symbiotic system can achieve a "1 + 1 > 2" effect of colonization and adsorption.
gif3
In the inflammatory environment of the human intestinal tract, a large amount of reactive oxygen species (ROS) accumulates, driving epithelial damage and inflammatory cascade reactions.
We ultimately identified three effector proteins, SOD1, CTT1, and TFF3, and integrated these three effector proteins in a single pathway to ensure their synchronous expression, thereby enhancing the robustness and safety of the system.
