Gong Zichen, male, born on October 10th, 2005, is a student at East China University of Science and Technology. He participated in the 2025 iGEM competition, where he was mainly responsible for the work of the web development and presentation team.
As the leader of the Presentation Team, he excelled at crafting meticulous plans and inspiring his teammates, steering the group forward with steady resolve to deliver the showcase video flawlessly. Ever considerate of his peers’ needs, he occasionally held fast to his own convictions — a trait that mirrored his sharp intellect and independent thinking. Endowed with boundless patience and unwavering determination, he undertakes feats that others might shrink from or deem too arduous.
In his role as a web developer, he toiled diligently without complaint, executing task after task under the team leader’s guidance. From the iHP page to the Experiment section, every corner of the website bears the mark of his tireless efforts. He readily takes on extra responsibilities, empathizes deeply with his fellow developers’ struggles, and offers consistent support and care - though they are not often valued or just seen. When disputes and strife arose, he always rose to the occasion to mend fences, with a sincere pledge to evolve into a better version of himself.
