Portrait of Maide Cebi

Maide Cebi

Human Practices & Wet Lab

Maide is a first semester master biology student at ETH Zürich contributing to both the wet lab and human practices teams. She sees synthetic biology as a playground of creativity for turning research into tangible impact. 🧬✨

📌 Fun fact: as a kid she collected pins obsessively—because one can never have too many tiny treasures! 😆

Finance, Marketing & Sponsoring

Max is in his third semester of the chemical engineering Bachelor at ETH Zürich. With a passion for synthetic biology, he steers sponsorships, marketing, and finance for iGEM 2025.

Outside the lab he's a dedicated athlete and curious student, always seeking the next challenge.

📌 Fun fact: he counts pain au chocolats instead of calories—typically 4 to 6 per thermodynamics lecture because the entropy of his snacks always increases with every bite! 🍫⚛️

Wet Lab & Human Practices

Hi, I'm Sabine, currently finishing my Bachelor in interdisciplinary sciences with a focus on biomedical engineering. Joining the ETH iGEM 2025 team lets me work on projects that push toward a healthier, more liveable planet.

Outside the lab I pour creativity onto canvas or into enthusiastic attempts at singing my favourite musicals!

😂 Fun fact: yes, I was on a quiz show when I was younger. No, I didn't win—but I did successfully mumble "uhh..." on national TV. 😬

Dry Lab

Hello, I'm Nina, a third-semester Bachelor student in interdisciplinary science. I'm fascinated by every corner of science, with a soft spot for theory.

Working in the dry lab reinforces my belief that a truly multidisciplinary approach helps us understand the world more deeply.

🗣️ Fun fact: if I had not chosen science, I would have studied philology specialising in Latin poetry or Ciceronian rhetorics. 🏛️
