Hi, I’m Grace from HDKWA. I am very glad to join our team, Susu. I take this competition as an opportunity to experience my future possible job. I have been very interested in animals and plants since I was a little kid. My family laid the foundation for my love of nature. My father loves taking care of his fish and has taught me a lot. My mother, at the same time, has supported me in keeping many pets like cats, hamsters, lizards, fish, parrots, and frogs. As I grew up, I was more interested in the deeper ideas inside nature, like the laws of nature, how life started, and how we can learn from the basic things of nature. It has always been fun for me to investigate the truth buried beneath the surface. All in all, joining this team has meant a lot to me, and I will do my best as a member of our team to contribute my ideas.

Hello everyone, I am Yigao Zou, currently in 11th grade at HDKWA. Since I was young, I have been deeply fascinated by biology. I love spending time at zoos, carefully observing and reading the information plaques. During elementary and middle school, I often participated in science seminars and exhibitions. In high school, I continued to pursue my interest by taking AP Biology. In 10th grade, I had the opportunity to participate in the iGEM competition, which was my first time stepping into a laboratory, and I was incredibly excited. I immersed myself in various experimental processes and reports. Later, I also joined the dry lab team, where I experienced the excitement of project design. It was a unique experience that allowed me to research, experiment, and discuss with my classmates. As I gained more knowledge about biology, my passion and love for the subject grew even stronger. I am very grateful to iGEM for giving me this opportunity.

Hello everyone, my name is Viola Chen. I am studying at Beijing Haidian Kaiwen Academy. My hobbies are traveling — I've been to many places to experience different ways of life. I also enjoy reading detective books; they truly captivate me. I became interested in biology because, during middle school, I had an amazing teacher. She was incredibly kind and gentle, and I adored her classes. That's when I developed an interest in biology, and I love conducting experiments to explore new knowledge. I have five pet turtles, and I take very meticulous care of them. As I've grown older and delved deeper into biology, I've realized that it's more than just a subject; it’s our exploration of natural life. Now that I've joined the iGEM team, I’m going all out to contribute and hope the results will live up to our efforts and lead to a great outcome.

Hello everyone, my name is Yaoyao Zhou. I am currently studying at Beijing Haidian Kavin School. My hobbies include playing the piano, reading books, and so on.  I have always been fond of observing small animals. My childhood pet hamster was the beginning of my interest in biology. I enjoy observing them and trying to figure out the reasons behind their certain behaviors. After joining the iGEM team, I also did my best to provide ideas and inspiration for the project. I enjoy the process of research. When I see the results that come from my own efforts, I feel very proud.

Hello everyone, my name is Tanya Wei from HDKWA. My hobbies include jogging and drawing. I learned how to draw since I was a little kid. My art skills allowed me to design the logo for our IGEM team. I decided to join IGEM because I want to expand my scope of knowledge. The knowledge I learned in IGEM is related to biology, engineering science, business, and so on. Besides, taking part in iGEM improved my teamwork ability and communication skills. Because, in order to complete a full project, we must work as a team. I really enjoy working with my classmates and making progress together. The knowledge and skills I get from IGEM are all very useful to my future.

Hello everyone, my name is Jerry Zhang. I am currently studying at Beijing Haidian Kaiwen Academy. I like reading books and watching movies with various themes. I prefer some indoor activities like badminton. From a biological interest, being a natural traveler is my childhood dream. I’ve been to many places, like national botanical museums, to enjoy the wonderful natural scenery. After joining the iGEM team, I also tried my best to engage in both wet and dry team activities, not only recording the experimental process but also inspiring others with the dry activities. I love the process of the experiment, and I also love my teammates when I saw that they were making an effort with me to get the whole project perfectly done.

Hello everyone, my name is Terry wang and I'm now grade 10 in HDKWA. I llike badminton and video games. I have had been very interested in the human body since I first saw the human organ modle on my biology class. I wanted to understand why and how come these strange organ function and work in our body. I joined the.IGEM team because I want to expand my regions and knowledge of biology and improve my teamworking ability. I like the feeling of cooperation between our team members and believe that this experience would become a precious memory in my life.
