Overview

To support future iGEM teams and educators interested in synthetic biology outreach, Team PHAntom developed a Curriculum Design Guide that serves as a practical framework for creating inclusive and accessible educational activities. Our guide compiles strategies, templates, and best practices derived from our experience engaging audiences across different age groups. It helps teams design lessons tailored to their target learners while aligning with educational standards for middle and high school students. By sharing our approach to lesson planning, presentation design, handouts, evaluation, and reflection, we aim to make it easier for future iGEMers to plan and implement effective educational programs. This contribution provides a ready-to-use and adaptable resource that promotes accessibility, inclusivity, and high-quality science communication within the iGEM community.
