Risk Identification

• Centrifuges: possible imbalances or accidents due to misuse.
• Electroporator: risk of electric shock if mishandled.
• UV lamps (hoods/gel doc): risk to skin and eyes.

Mitigation Measures

• Supervised use of high-risk equipment; follow SOPs for setup and shutdown.
• Verify proper rotor balancing before centrifugation; never open until full stop.
• Use UV PPE (face/eye protection) and shielding; minimize exposure.
