SANDURE — Kuwait’s Desert Biotech

We’re a group of BBS students from Kuwait taking on the iGEM competition — part scientists, part dreamers, and full-time snack enthusiasts. Our mission? To use synthetic biology to tackle real-world problems while learning (and laughing) our way through it. Between long brainstorming sessions, lab experiments, and so many discussions, we’re building something we’re truly proud of. Whether it’s coding, designing, or experimenting, we’re here to make science exciting, creative, and a little more human. We’re constantly learning to balance curiosity with chaos, turning challenges into moments of discovery. More than anything, we’re driven by the idea that science isn’t just about results … it’s about the people and land that it will benefit.
