Use description

ChatGPT

We used ChatGPT to refine the clarity and accuracy of our written content, particularly for Wiki texts, by assisting with grammar, style, and consistency. It also supported us in troubleshooting our code during the project development.

BioRender

We used BioRender to represent the designs of our genetic devices in SBOL format and to create clear visual diagrams for our experimental protocols.

Canva

Canva was primarily used to design presentations and organize visual layouts for the Wiki. While most of the core graphics were created by the complete team, Canva allowed us to arrange elements and add annotations such as arrows and text.

SnapGene

SnapGene was an essential tool for designing, editing, and visualizing vector maps and genetic constructs throughout the project.

Benchling

We used Benchling to maintain our electronic laboratory notebooks and systematically document our experimental progress.

Microsoft Excel

We used Excel to organize our experimental data and to calculate the RDX concentrations required for our assays.

SolidWorks

SolidWorks supported the refinement and adjustment of 3D-printed component designs for our hardware prototypes.

Mathjax

We used MathJax to seamlessly incorporate mathematical equations into our Wiki, ensuring clarity in technical explanations.

BLAST+

We used BLAST+ to analyze promoters, verify the presence of regulatory regions, and ensure their compatibility for expression in E. coli.

Visual Studio Code

Visual Studio Code (VSC) served as our primary code editor, providing an efficient environment for writing, debugging and managing all project-related scripts.

Pixabay

We used Pixabay to find free high-quality images and illustrations for our presentations and Wiki pages, ensuring that our visual content was both engaging and informative.

Prensa RUM

We used Prensa RUM to gather and present information and insights about our project, as well as to stay updated on relevant news and developments in the field.
