iGEM Tsinghua 2025

The treatment of Baijiu vinasse poses an environmental challenge. In this year's iGEM, we designed a dual-bacterial system: engineered Trichoderma reesei secretes enzymes to break down lignin and cellulose, while Pseudomonas putida converts the degraded products into high-value succinate via the modified TCA cycle. This approach enables resource utilization of vinasse with economic benefits.
