Communication
First of all, in interviews with experts and scholars, we have gained many valuable suggestions, which make us more clear about the future of the project, but some suggestions and ideas can't be realized due to time constraints.
Secondly, in the communication with other iGEM teams, we learned other people's strengths, and found and improved our own shortcomings in answering doubts.
Education
Our science popularization education spans multiple dimensions. In terms of age groups, it covers children aged six or seven, college students, and even postgraduates in their twenties. Geographically, it reaches campuses, communities, and remote towns in Jiangxi Province. As for educational content, it ranges from microbes, genes and DNA to synthetic biology, encompassing campus and community science popularization, high school students’ preaching activities, and rural volunteer teaching programs. Our initiatives are characterized by being engaging, equitable, scientific, and sustainable.
However, we still lack innovative and interdisciplinary collaborations and activities. Given more time, we hope to integrate scientific knowledge with art, and organize engaging events such as postcard design contests. If conditions allow, we also aim to enter elderly communities, break down information barriers, and impart biological science knowledge related to healthy living to the elderly. We are aware that there is room for improvement, but this is by no means the end of our journey.
