Our participation in the iGEM Grand Jamboree was an unforgettable experience. Over the course of the event, we had the privilege of engaging with inspiring teams from all over the world, exchanging ideas, discovering innovative ideas in synthetic biology and of course taking good pics under the Eiffel Tower :).
We are incredibly proud to say that our project, HERO, was awarded a Gold Medal—a milestone that celebrates the dedication, creativity, and collaboration of our entire team. This achievement reflects months of hard work and countless (many times even not successfull) experiments.
This accomplishment would not have been possible without the support of our sponsors, PIs, advisors, and the University of Bologna. We extend our gratitude to all of them for believing in the project and providing the resources and guidance that brought HERO to life.
We also want to thank the iGEM community for the precious opportunity they give to students worldwide, to make us dream big and make meaningful connections.
As this chapter closes, we look forward to continuing our journey in biotechnology. We hope to see a future team from the University of Bologna to carry the iGEM spirit forward, creating new innovations that will shape the future of synthetic biology.
